2019 is set to be an exciting year for Trend Control Systems and our
customers. I’m Alan Johnstone, the company’s UK&I Partner Channel Sales
Leader, and in this blog I will outline just a few of the things you can look
forward to in 2019.
2018 was a year of change in both Trend and our wider
Honeywell organisation, and here at Trend we are starting 2019 with a sense of
optimism about what the year will bring. Firstly, Stefano D’Agostino joined
Trend as our business leader and is already having a positive impact as we
detail and deliver our future product, services and business strategy.
It’s almost a year since we moved into our new headquarters
at St Mark’s Court, Horsham, which further strengthens our continuing
commitment to the UK. Having well and truly settled in, it’s been great to see
the development of our innovative Network Operations Centre, which positions
Trend at the epicentre of the move towards truly intelligent buildings.
Indeed, as the only major UK based BEMS manufacturer, we are
ideally placed to support you - our customers – with continuity of supply from
our award-winning factory in Horsham. This means we are well positioned to
respond proactively to any potential Brexit implications.
Next generation
What’s more, I can assure you that Trend remains absolutely
committed to leading-edge products and innovative solutions IQ™️VISION
has been a huge success, and the imminent release of IQ™️VISION v2.2
will mark a step change in our N4 capability.
With IQ™️VISION 2.2 we had two clear goals – to
significantly simplify the engineering process and to reduce the time an
individual needs to interact with the system by clearly providing real-time
information and guaranteeing the quick resolution of system issues.
In fact, we delivered three, as IQ™️VISION 2.2
also includes a redesigned Trend Driver, which offers a step change in data
security and performance and is the only choice when it comes to integrating
components into a Trend BEMS.
The Trend Driver also runs on the Trend TONN, which is now
completely open protocol, so if you are looking for an N4 controller, make sure
it is a Trend TONN.
Reach for the sky
Cloud-based connected building services will continue to
dominate 2019, and enhanced lighting control integration will come to Trend
BEMS this year with the launch of an all-new DALI BEMS controller, which
connects directly to the Trend IQ™️ECO. With this solution and
others, we will ensure that you are given every opportunity to leverage the
power of the cloud.
Bright future
Of course, our ongoing commitment to you is nowhere more
apparent than in the industry-leading, five-year limited hardware warranty that
now applies to the entire range of IQ™️4 controllers and modules.
It’s a move that gives you the confidence that your investment in Trend will
stand the test of time.
It’s this positive outlook that we aim to communicate in
2019, and I’m looking forward to speaking to as many of you as I can in the
months ahead!
Get digital
Finally, as an organisation, we continue to progress rapidly
in the digital space and, as our buildings become ever more connected, we are
also working hard on developing the wider Trend family and community.
Our social media
presence is growing rapidly with active participation and conversation at every
level of our industry – and our ‘Spot the Trend’ posts are becoming very
popular. I’d encourage everyone to connect with us, whether online at www.trendcontrols.com, on LinkedIn, Twitter or YouTube!
