Trend Office Move

May 11, 2018
Horsham-based Trend Control Systems has emphasised its commitment to the Horsham area with its move to new offices in North Down, St Marks Court, Horsham. Trend, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and part of the Honeywell group, was previously based at Albery House, part of the Swan Walk complex, for 28 years.

The business is moving in light of the planned redevelopment of the Swan Walk area and all 165 employees as well as its sister businesses, Ex-Or and Centraline will be moving into dedicated new premises. The new offices will feature improved customer demonstration facilities and will house Trend’s innovative Connected Buildings Centre. Manufacturing will continue to be run out of the existing award-winning facility in Foundry Lane, Horsham.

In a ceremony to mark the opening of the new building, Cabinet Member for the Local Economy of Horsham District Council, Gordon Lindsay, remarked on the company’s commitment to the local area: “Trend has a lengthy history with Horsham and, indeed, the company was originally established over 37 years ago in nearby Billingshurst. It’s great to see a world-leading business flourish in our area and, as a large local employer, its success story is one that we can all share in.”

For Graeme Rees, Marketing Director at Trend Control Systems, the decision to remain in Horsham was an easy one: “As a technology company, we have become known for our innovation and expertise. Being located in Horsham gives us access to skilled and dedicated people, and we are proud to be one of the area’s largest employers.”
